The Pink Unicorn Story
The Pink Unicorn has often been referred to by atheists, materialists, and skeptics in a pejorative manner–as a derogatory symbol of the world of the imagination, the world of the spiritual, the paranormal and the religious.
When used in such a manner, invocation of the Pink Unicorn becomes an accusation, levying a charge of delusional fantasy. It signifies that which is false and deceiving; it signifies the myths of a primitive people; it stands for a God that is claimed to be a figment of the imagination.
At Pink Unicorn Publishing, we celebrate the opposite vision. Pink Unicorn’s guiding philosophy is Idealism: the Idealism of the Buddha, of Plato, of Bishop Berkeley. We believe all of reality, all that has value and meaning, all the knowledge one can possess, has its origin in the spiritual realm. In our view, Creation is the imagination of Spirit at play.
Our publications reflect this philosophy; they are the products of the mind of spirit at play, and at work, shaping the world in which we live, turning it away from the brink of a bleak era of materialistic robotic existence. We believe the world in which we live is the dream we have created; we invite our readers to join us in dreaming a better dream.
